Get yourself subscribed

    This month's issue of The Briefing has some excellent articles on the 'underworld' theme including a great piece by Con Campbell (former Pastor at Crossroads and now lecturer at Moore Theological College, Sydney).     suscribe yes, but only with the disclaimer of test everything you read.....otherwise we'll just be like SOME catholics and other people we judge and think everything in the briefing - just because it's an exegesis of the bible, is something we should blindly prescribe to. it should never replace reading the bible for yourself.....aid it maybe, but not replace......

    Yes we should never read something that comments upon the Bible without the Bible itself open before us. The Briefing is good in that it opens itself to and often publishes critique and review of it's own material. More often than not it gets me engaged with heaps of different issues I otherwise wouldn't and it provokes me to think about such issues Biblically...even if I don't always agree with what is being said. Now that's got to be a good thing.
